How do I connect Zapier to cloudlayer.io?

We offer Zapier integrations for most of our API endpoints. For example, to use a ZAP for action in Zapier, you only need to provide Zapier with the API Key when asked for it. Then, in Zapier, set up the action step. Zapier will ask you to paste in your cloudlayer.io API Key during the process. You can get your API Key from Settings -> API Keys.

How long does it take to create a PDF?

On average, generating a PDF will take around 1-2 seconds. The time can vary significantly depending on what kind of call you're performing.

HTML with no external dependencies is the fastest

Using an HTML call that does not have any external dependencies such as images, CSS, or other assets that get fetched from the internet. Depending on how much content gets generated, the PDF will get generated extremely quickly and typically around 1 second.

Using an external URL is the slowest

Using an external URL to generate a PDF could be the slowest possible option. It is not always the case because it depends on how fast the external server is, how big the payload is, and other various factors. But on average, using an external URL will be slower than using embedded HTML.

What is an API Credit?

An API credit is what you get charged for using our service. Most API calls are a single API Credit, so 1 API Credit equals 1 API Call in most cases. However, some calls cost additional API Credits, so please take a look at our documentation to understand those situations.

Using an Enterprise Plan, you can use your S3 compatible storage. It is called user storage, and it does not use the included cloud storage in your account.
